This Week at CN Gunn Oct. 16-20 | Volunteers, Forms, Parent Focus Group, Well-Being Series

Updates and Information

Due to the inability to secure enough volunteers, the grade 5 field trip for Open Minds has been postponed to March. We do hope to have enough volunteers to help with this field trip at this time. This situation speaks to the need for more volunteers to be part of our Volunteer Roster and we are always happy to have you join us on field trips to ensure our children have access to great learning opportunities beyond the walls of the school and fences of our field. I spoke of this in a recent blog post here: The Importance of Volunteers, and would like to encourage families to sign up to be a volunteer.

Getting yourself on the roster is an important first step and even if you can only volunteer once- this is a help. Please call/ speak with Debbie Resch in our main office for more information 403-777-6620 about how to become a volunteer.

Purpose: To collect insight from a parent perspective to update the old “My Child's Learning: A Parent Resource" website into a brand new space that will be hosted on new.LearnAlberta.ca.

10 – 12 parents will be identified from metro, urban and rural school divisions, representing children of varying grade ranges (K-12) to participate in this focus group.

Please share this “expression of interest" survey with your school communities as you deem appropriate (school council, engaged parents, etc.).

It will remain open until Monday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m.
