A Note about Dhuhr Prayer at School
Last week a letter was sent home to families about accommodations of the Dhuhr prayer. This week, prayers have shifted time because of Daylight Savings. This means students have until after 4:30 pm to complete prayers at home with their family. given the space constraints of our building, trying to accommodate all students for afternoon prayers last week became very difficult for the following reasons:
- In some cases, students were found wandering the halls instead of waiting their turn and missing out on learning time as a result of this.
- The space we have available can only accommodate 4 students at a time and some students didn't know how to do their prayer without a leader.
As noted in the letter last week, accommodation can be provided for special circumstances. However, we do ask that families consider a discussion with their children where they can complete their prayer with their families at home under family leadership.
This Week's Cyber Safety
Our hope is to help families have small opportunities to talk about cyber safety- and find tools to help you. We hope to include a resource each week for you to watch and use.
This week: CBC Market Place- Gaming Collecting Data
