A Busy Fall at [School Name]

As we wind down another busy fall season, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that’s happened at Catherine Nichols Gunn School.

A Growing School Community We’re thrilled to share that our school community has grown significantly since June. Our enrollment has increased from 389 students to 455 students, making our school even more vibrant and dynamic. To accommodate this growth, we’ve welcomed several new staff members to our team, and we’re excited to announce that additional staff will be joining us in January.

Learning Beyond the Classroom Our students have been embracing the fall season with enthusiasm! Grade 3-6 students have completed their annual swimming lessons, while Grade 5 and 6 students are currently participating in the Calgary Police Service YouthLink program to learn about cyber safety.

The warm fall weather has allowed us to spend plenty of time outdoors. Secret Path Week, our students enjoyed walks to Laycock Park, where our Kindergarteners discovered signs of fall, and Grades 1 and 2 explored the fascinating world of pumpkins. Grades 3 and 4 engaged in land-based learning, observing the environment and recording their findings in field journals.

Looking Ahead Next week, we’re excited to celebrate our students’ learning at the Winter Concert and Celebration of Learning. Please join us as we showcase the incredible work of our students and staff.
